Summer Morning – named after the French fragrance Matin D’été or Morning of Summer, our new creation was designed and built during the long dreary months of the Winter 2003, thus the name welcomes brighter days and the feeling of summer freedom. Summer morning is graced with soft colors, a delightful view from the large windows facing the river, a Claudio Reyes king size bed designed in Italy and crafted in Argentina, a mattress like a cloud, an electric fireplace, stereo, a library, hidden TV/DVD/VCR. Summer Morning exudes a sense of warmth and romance no matter what season you visit. And to spoil you even more, enjoy the double Jacuzzi with waterfall spout, frameless glass rainfall shower, heated towel rack and floor tiles, beautiful stained glass windows in the exquisite bath of Summer Morning. $275 per night |
Teddy’s Place has a queen-size bed, a river view (if you hang around in the bathroom) with whirlpool/shower, telephone, desk, hidden TV/VCR, and central air-conditioning plus ceiling fan, also, a refrigerator. It is probably the quietest of our rooms since it is tucked away on the third floor. We often use Teddy’s Place for our honeymooners. Teddy’s Place has a delightful terrace with table/chairs and a chaise lounge chair, under our towering 200 year old (maybe older) copper beech tree. $200 per night / with private bath *Hearts & Flowers is across the hall from Teddy’s Place on the third floor and has a full size bed and a twin. It has central air-conditioning plus a ceiling fan. $120 per night / sharing a bath with Teddy’s Place |
The Rose Garden is a bright, cheerful room with a river view from the second floor windows, queen-size bed, private bath with whirlpool/shower, telephone, hidden TV/VCR, and air-conditioning plus ceiling fan. $175 per night
|
The Pineapple Room is three steps down from the second floor hallway and displays four rather large windows. It has a queen-size bed, desk with data port, telephone, small private bath with shower, hidden TV/VCR, air-conditioning, and ceiling fan. $150 per night

Facing the river with a view from each room, our Country Cottage is a real hideout for those who need time alone. The spacious cottage all-suite has a living room, bedroom with a fireplace, king-size bed, private bath with tub and shower, central air-conditioning, ceiling fans, fully stocked kitchen (coffee, tea, cinnamon raisin bread, eggs, milk, butter, cereal, etc.) with dishwasher, stove, fridge, microwave. It also has a TV/VCR, cassette and CD player, telephone, and wireless internet. Enjoy the river valley from the wrap-around veranda, read on the bench beside the Cottage fountain, or rest in the hammock. Ideal for honeymooners! $250 per night (two night minimum)

The Paradise Suite is also the perfect hideaway for those who want to escape and spend time alone or for two couples traveling together. Situated on the second floor over the Country Cottage, this all-suite is beautifully decorated with an element of carefully appointed whimsy. This is by far the best river-view from a bedroom and bath that we can offer in either inn. Enjoy the overstuffed chairs and watch the ever-changing river flow by. On a cool evening recline in the ornate cast iron, queen-size canopy bed (one of a kind creation from Fredricksburg, Texas) and fall asleep to the romantic glow of the platform fireplace directly across from the bed. THE Paradise Suite has a hidden TV/VCR/radio-CD player. The bathroom is a delightful array of color, carefully created by our friend, Michael Stolk, a well-known Delaware River Valley decorator and stencil artist who painted tropical fish complete with bubbles on the walls and ceiling to enhance the wonderful Spanish tile work (by Rob). Bring your own slippers (or use the ones we supply), because shoes are left at the entrance door, since Linda’s bright idea of glass checker board floor tiles, in teal and beige, make it easy to scratch the floor. The hand-painted cabinet and window seat enhance the glass shower and over-sized whirlpool tub. And just to encourage a weight loss for sure; two walls are covered with mirrors. Stroll into our little town and order food to go from one of our restaurants and enjoy dining in the bay window of the Paradise Suite. The kitchenette is fully stocked with coffee, tea, cinnamon raisin bread, eggs, milk, butter, cereal — complete with refrigerator, granite countertop with ceramic stovetop, microwave, toaster oven, dishes and silverware, telephone with wireless internet. |
The Palms, a bright, sunny bedroom adjacent to the kitchenette and across from the other bedroom, has a queen-size bed, hidden TV/VCR, telephone, private bath with tub and shower decorated in an art nouveau style. Relax by the Cottage fountain, reminiscent of a European courtyard or fall asleep in the hammock to the sounds of falling water. The Paradise Suite is $275 per night (two night minimum) as a private suite. The Palms and the Paradise Suite together are $350 per night (two night minimum). |
